... born in 1966, he lives and works in France.
The beauty of the Bedouin
On his travels through the desert, Cédric Cazal came across centuries-old native cultures which seemed untouched by Western civilisation. In his works, the French painter brings us the world of Nomadic tribes to life in a fascinating way. He allows us to share the indescribable sight of a Bedouin tribe suddenly appearing out of the endless, sandy expanse of desert, by drawing our attention to the scene. In his pictures, Cazal focuses on these people; he portrays them in all their natural beauty and dignity, shaped by their perpetual struggle to survive in an inhospitable land.
