The Dutch painter Willem de Bont paints in the
New Objectivity style. He arranges apparently
meaningless everyday objects into still lifes, and
the energy of these paintings inspires them with
a mysterious life of their own which enchants
the observer. The meticulously drawn details are
bathed in light. Beyond the subtlety of these
paintings, it is primarily the perspective chosen by
the painter that brings out the magic.
