"The photographer Bill Philip was born in 1946 and brought up in Scotland and the Lake District. From an early age he was influenced by the power of the landscape, mountains, lochs and seas that surrounded his childhood homes and these echoes can be seen in much of his work today.
He originally trained as a professional photographer and was awarded a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fine Art Photography from the University of Westminster. Apart from extensive experience working in photography he was, until recently, the Director of Arts at City of Westminster College. Although he has exhibited regularly, two years ago he decided to leave education and to develop his passion for landscape and fine art photography.
Using a combination of traditional photographic skills and digital technology, Bill Philip’s work has been seen around the world. He has exhibited widely and his work has been published in this country and abroad. His photographs are purchased by private collectors, galleries, corporate clients, architects and interior designers."
