"New England artist Jan Sacca was born in 1956 in Massachusetts.
Fascinated with colour and texture from her youth, she started drawing and painting at the age of six. She was the youngest of six children in a family rich in artistic talent, but she is the first professionally to pursue a career in art.
Jan Sacca spent a great deal of her youth on Cape Ann, and visiting New Hampshire and the coast of Maine. She studied at Massachusetts College of Art, majoring in Fine Art and Illustration, but she considers herself to be self taught.
With a great love and appreciation for nature she says that the greatest compliment she has ever received from a patron was that “she taught them to see the world with new eyes”.
A versatile artist who has dabbled in a multitude of different formats, her artwork is always created in mixed media."
