Artist Heleen Vriesendorp

In Heleen Vriesendorp’s work we can see that a harmonious combination is found between realistic and abstract elements.

She creates an abstract composition in which she paints or draws a realistic concept. Because of this, complete integration is achieved.

The way she paints and the thorough way in which she creates her subjects show that she started out as an etcher.

Apart from these combined techniques she also paints in watercolours. In these watercolours French and Italian architecture are central themes.

She was selected for the ‘Salon D’ensemble’ of the European institute in Brussels after her exhibitions in the Netherlands.
