A sea-coast becomes a place of contemplation, of sweet dreams, when the shores have been left by the visitors – Russell Frampton knows this. For us he paints this horizon which seems to lead to nothing and which mingles with the sky. Here and there kites are playing in the wind, not knowing where to go to, a little bit comparable to our thoughts. The scenery is vivid, the blue and grey shades used caress the picture, like a tide setting in, which covers the distances passed again. Cloudless,peaceful, these pictures invite thinking andoffer a moment of relaxation.
