Artist Sandrine Blondel
..born in 1964, she lives and works in Paris.
Like Points of Light through the Mist Sandrine Blondel grew in up in a Parisian suburb.
After her studies she worked in Design, first in the Ivory Coast, and later in Paris. In the year 2000, she
opened a studio in the old Parisian artists’ quarter Menilmontant.The subjects of her work are unusu-
al. She transports the viewer to pulsating metropolises around the world, without romanticising the
faceless buildings and the noisy traffic-filled streets in the process. Grey corresponds more closely to
reality according to her concept. She varies the gradation of this grey greatly, thus creating an ide-
al contrast to the yellow taxis that appear like points of light through this mist
